Harlaxton College, Grantham, England

Last evening, having dinner with friends Angela and Lisa and James, Angela asked me about my time in Europe, and I told her (only a little) about my semester at Harlaxton in Grantham, England in the spring of 1998. One tidbit: many of lived in and all of us studied in Harlaxton manor, the exterior of which was used quite a bit in the Liam Neeson/Catherine Zeta-Jones film THE HAUNTING. (In fact, my bf at the time was studying there when they filmed.)

Anywho, I've been googling friends from UE lately, and I came across the following link to an essay by David Stradley ('97), a distinguished actor even at the age of 24 (then).

Read and enjoy. Harlaxton was one of the best periods of my life. FYI, Shane McRae, the subject of a recent entry, was the guy with whom I travelled quite often, including to the Aran Islands off the coast of Ireland--God's country. ....SIGH....
