And now for October
Fun and exciting fact: FRAGGLE ROCK (S. 1) is now on DVD. woo-hoo!
So I've been plotting out beats and punctuation, etc., in a script the Phoenix is doing in January called A NUMBER. Bryan's invited me and a few others to audition. Were I to be cast, I'd play three characters: a father's son, and two of the son's clones. Titillated? I was, and AM. Oooo, how challenging and exciting. The role of the father has been cast...wish I knew who...
I also picked up the script I'm doing for Mystery Cafe, only once, so far as I know. The other script will probably come later, maybe November. This one is with my good pal Chandra, and it's "Peggy Sue Got Murdered." I think it was nominated for a Pulitzer when it was written in the mid-nineties... gosh, SO many murder-mystery, dinner plays were!
Not much to report from the land of Scot. Phoebe's good, there's an unexplained foul odor in the house, another girl's been hired here at CCs and the Greenwood store got broken into (AGAIN x 3). Dad's coming into town this coming weekend, so I'm sure he'll have housework for us to do--no matter what my opinion is. UTOWN's going well; our extension's been announced. Read some scripts by Alan Shepard and Matt Graber over the weekend, ones they're producing in a couple months, and I thought they were, for the most part, pretty good. Then last night I saw Alan's Performing Your Life show he directs every now and then, this one on marriage. It was nice, thought-provoking. I hope I can work with those dudes again sometime.
More later in the week.
