job searchin'
So last night was auditions for VELVETEEN, and I don't think I did very well, but whatever, not much I can do about it now. So many people I know were there: Alan Shepard, old friend Jen Smith, Jen Henry, Jamison Fisher, Lisa Kaake, Ken Klingenmeier...
I also applied, this morning, for a position that Jen Smith applied and interviewed for but was reopened. It's for the Indianapolis Arts Council, and I think either of us would be great candidates. We'll see what happens there.
I have an interview at Bank One tomorrow. I don't know how I feel about that. It's part time work with benefits, which sounds better than I'm doing here at CCs, but I'd probably get fewer hours there. It's closer to home, which is good.
My ideal situation would be: Act through January, getting shows with ACT Out and Mystery Cafe, hopefully getting cast in VELVETEEN (eh) and A NUMBER at the Phoenix--the latter being a show I really want badly and will do whatever I can to get. Working a second job till then... hopefully having a "Career" type job come February.
I also want to find a new play--or one done infrequently--to direct at the Alley with Michelle Kelley producing. That project happening sometime next year. If anyone has any ideas, let me know.
Now I remember I need to write Chandra about something.
Is anyone even reading this?
